David Kilgour: "Stop... killing… Falun Gong practitioners."
David Kilgour, former Canadian Secretary of State
for Asia-Pacific, flew to the United States on September 12.
This was to attend the U.S. Congress hearings
on the “Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Live Organ Harvesting of Religious And Political Dissidents."
Kilgour said that he, and all like-minded people,
want to see the democracy in China.
China must stop crimes against Falun Gong practitioners.
Kilgour thinks that Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao
also wants to promote Chinese democracy and legalization.
David Kilgour, co-author of 'Bloody Harvest:
Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China',
commented during an interview
with Sound of Hope Radio Network.
The U.S. Department of State acknowledge the occurrence
of organ harvesting in it's 2012 Human Rights report.
They raised this issue very cautiously.
They recognized that such a terrible crime
against humanity continues to happen in China.
David Kilgour is positive that the U.S. Department of State
acknowledged the occurrence of this, after 11 long years.
He madea special trip to participate
in the hearings, to help stop this crime.
David Kilgour: "Any government which is not elected
in a fair and free election, has no legitimacy,
certainly democratic legitimacy, and I would like to see
China move in the direction that about 122 countries are.
And if China was a democracy, there would of course,
this would be probably the first thing they would stop;
this killing practitioners, Falun Gong practitioners."
Charles Lee, Spokesman for the Global Center to Quit
the CCP, pointed out that once these unprecedented crimes are exposed,
which are beyond the limits of humanity,
the CCP will lose its legitimacy, and will collapse.
Charles Lee: “He (Wen Jiabao) will face opposition from
other CCP officials, including the blood-debt faction.
If he does it, the CCP will end one and for all.
They are on the same boat.
We cannot expect someone within the CCP to stop this crime.
He can only save himself and withdraw from the CCP
to have a future, and expose the crimes of organ harvesting.
Wen Jiabao did show conscience toward the end.
However, from a historical point
of view, he cannot do anything.”
Su Ming, historian and former Beijing University professor,
thinks that under CCP dictatorship, officials can't do anything.
Su Ming: “The CCP gang is completely rotten.
In the current situation, there is not a single
rational character within this group.
They are in transition of power to a group of leaders.
Each group of leaders covers up
crimes it has committed before.
Therefore, in such a system, it is not possible
to have a liberal figure or a reformist figure."
Ruan Ming, former secretary to CCP Party General
Hu Yaobang, commented on Kilgour’s expectation on democracy in China.
Ruan Ming thinks that with pressure from the U.S., other
democratic countries and the Chinese people’s continuous efforts, democracy can be achieved.
Ruan Ming: “The persecution of Falun Gong was started by
dictator Jiang Zemin. Wen Jiabao certainly does not favor it.
In fact, who agrees with Jiang Zemin,
only one's with no humanity?
Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao will both step down.
Xi Jinping will take over power. I think it is better.
After Wen Jiabao steps down, he will
still give speeches and play an important role.
It is the Chinese people who will have the critical impact.”
Ruan Ming thinks that three aspects of power
are gradually maturing; pressure from overseas,
promotion from above and the Chinese people.
The situation is improving.
China does have a hope with
the power from these three aspects.
Su Ming points out that to disintegrate the CCP’s evil regime
is the only way to stop the bloody organ harvesting crime.
