原中共國家發改委副主任、能源局長劉鐵男,9月24號出庭受審。河北法院公布的庭審記錄顯示,劉鐵男當庭懺悔、含淚認罪,中共官方還公布了他的自白書,聲稱劉鐵男認罪態度良好,法官將擇日宣判。

不過,劉鐵男的懺悔,大陸民眾並不接受。他們認為劉鐵男是虛假認罪,並質疑中共當局是在轉移焦點,刻意迴避劉鐵男背後的後臺。

據《自由亞洲電臺》報導,大陸民主人士曾仁全表示,劉鐵男案從當初案發到公審,只是一個遊戲。他說,民眾質疑的焦點是,劉鐵男認罪態度好,為甚麼當初要對舉報他的記者和情婦進行死亡威脅?劉鐵男背後到底有沒有保護傘?他受賄的金額是否只有3500多萬?

伊力哈木上訴 發表判後感言

被中共以「分裂國家」罪名,重判無期徒刑的北京維族學者伊力哈木,9月24號已經委託律師提出上訴,併發表判後感言。

據伊力哈木的辯護律師李方平在網路上透露,伊力哈木在判後感言中說,看到判決書的內容,他反而認為自己應肩負更大的責任。並表示,希望通過他的案件推動新疆法治化。

異議無罪 美促釋放伊力哈木

伊力哈木被判無期後,國際社會極為震驚,包括歐盟在內的多個國際組織已經發表聲明表示譴責,23號,美國國務卿克裡也發表聲明說,和平表達不同意見不是犯罪,中共對伊力哈木判處嚴刑,似乎是對他以和平方式維護維吾爾少數族裔公民權益而進行的報復,美國對這個判決「深感不安」。

聲明表示,伊力哈木在國際上知名,是因為他多年來在維吾爾族和漢族之間提倡相互理解、寬容、和平對話與和諧統一。監禁伊力哈木封殺了維吾爾族人最重要的溫和派聲音,而封殺這種聲音只會使緊張局勢惡化。

克裡呼籲北京當局釋放伊力哈木和他的學生。

香港罷課第三天 學生遊行往中環

香港學生為期一週的罷課,24號進入第三天,當天下午,香港「專上學生聯合會」發起遊行,數百人由添馬公園步行到中環,沿途高叫口號,要求真普選,表達對中共「人大常委」就政改定出框架的不滿。

據香港《蘋果日報》報導,「學聯」聲明遊行是公民抗命,因此沒有向警方申請不反對通知書,香港警方在遊行起步時到場展示黃色警告牌,說遊行未經批准,參與者可能遭到刑事檢控。

報導說,遊行學生表示,他們希望除了在添馬廣場集會外,也能走入社區,將他們的罷課理念告訴巿民,他們並不擔心受檢控。

Liu Tienan's Court Confession Believed to be Fake

September 24, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Deputy
Director of the National Development and Reform Commission
(NDRC), and director of the National Energy Administration,
Liu Tienan, appears in court.

The trial record from Hebei court shows that Liu Tienan tearfully confessed in court.

Chinese officials also announced his confession, citing Liu's
good attitude in admitting guilt.

The court said a verdict would be announced at a later date.

However, mainland people do not accept Liu Tienan's
confession.

They believe that it is a false confession and question the
Chinese authorities' motive is to shift the focus and
deliberately avoid the background behind Liu Tienan.

According to Radio Free Asia, mainland democrat Zeng
Renquan said the Liu Tienan case is just a game
from the beginning to the public trial.

He said people questioned why Liu Tienan threatened the reporter
and his mistress with death at the beginning
if he has good attitude in admitting guilt.

Whether there is any umbrella behind him?
Whether his bribery is only 35 million.

Ilham Appealed and Published Speech After Sentence

Uyghur scholar Ilham, who was sentenced to life imprisonment
on charges of secession has appealed on September 24th and
published the speech after sentence.

Ilham's lawyer Li Fangping revealed through the Internet, Ilham
feels that he has more responsibility after reading the judgement.

He hopes to promote Xinjiang legalization by his case.

US urged the release of Ilham because of innocent dissension

Several international organizations including the European
Union have issued a statement condemning Ilham's shocking life imprisonment sentence.

US secretary of state John Kerry has criticised The United States is deeply disturbed that Ilham Tohti has been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.

"Peaceful dissent is not a crime. This harsh sentence appears to be retribution for Professor Tohti's peaceful efforts to promote human rights for China's ethnic Uighur citizens.

The statement said Ilham is renowned internationally because
he promoted mutual understanding, tolerance, peaceful dialogue
and harmonious unification between Han and Uyghur.

His detention silenced an important moderate Uighur voice."
Silencing them can only make tensions worse.

Kerry called on Beijing authorities to release Ilham
and his students.

Students go to Central on Third Day of Strike in Hong Kong

September 24 is the third day of Hong Kong students'
week-long strike.

In the afternoon, Hong Kong Federation of Students (HKFS)
started the march.

Hundreds of people walked to Central from Tamar Park.

Along the way, they shouted "We demand genuine universal
suffrage" to express dissatisfaction at CCP Standing
Committee's political reform framework.

According to Hong Kong Apple Daily, HKFS announced
the procession is civil disobedience and didn’t apply
for the No Objection Letter from Hong Kong police.

The Hong Kong Police arrived at the start to show
a yellow warning sign that the participators face
criminal prosecution because of an unauthorized march.

It's said that in addition to Tamar Park, the students also
want to tell people their strike philosophy in the community
without fear of prosecution.
