British Media: Japan and China May Have Military Conflicts
British Daily Telegraph published an article of reporter
Malcolm Moore on September 28 issued from Beijing,
saying China and Japan fight on Diaoyu Islands' sovereignty,
the two sides are moving to direction of military conflicts.
The article quoted Yan Xuetong, director of Institute of
International Studies in Tsinghua University,
saying the two governments won't compromise,
so that military conflicts become possible.
The article analyzes that the reason leading to the dramatic
escalation of the Diaoyu Islands sovereignty dispute
is not only protests throughout China, but both are also facing
regime conversion soon.
Japan will hold a general election next year, and the leadership
transition every 10 years in China is about to start.
So before the change of top leadership, neither wants to
show any sign of weaknesses.
