Who Poisoned Zhu Ling?—CCP involvement Silences Truth

In 1995, Zhu Ling, current U.S. resident and at the time
a chemistry student at China Tsinghua University in Beijing,
became paralyzed due to poisoning—to this day,
the police have not announced the results of their findings.
Zhu Ling's father sent an investigation information
disclosure requirement to the related departments,
and now hopes to make the truth known to the public.

Some Chinese residing in the U.S. initiated an online petition
through the White House website asking for an investigation
and the expulsion of Sun Wei, who is suspected of poisoning
Zhu Ling.
As the number of signatures has reached over 100,000,
they're now awaiting a response from the White House.
However, Sun Wei's family has been found to have
a close relationship with the upper echelons
of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
—more in the following report.

Sun Wei, who was regarded as No.1 suspect by the police,
was Zhu Ling's classmate and roommate at the time (1995).
In August 1998, she was cleared of all police suspicion
and moved to U.S. through marriage, with a new name.
Chinese U.S. residents say in their online petition:

“To protect the safety of our citizens, we are asking for
the U.S. government to investigate and deport Sun Wei.”

At 11:00 EDT on May 6th, the number of
petition signatures had reached around 112,000,
making it eligible for a response from the White House.

White House officials will be handing the case over
to relevant departments and experts.

Wang Juntao, who has received a doctorate of philosophy
in political science at Columbia University,
also participated in the petition, saying that
he suspects Zhu Ling was purposefully poisoned.

[Dr. Wang Juntao, Political Scientist]:
“Many have suspected Sun Wei, yet, my purpose in signing
was not to accuse Sun Wei or any other person of guilt,
but to urge the CCP to investigate.
If one can allow this kind of thing to happen,
then it will be unsafe for all of us!
No action has been taken by the judiciary in China
and the law is not protecting the safety of its people.”

Since 1995, Zhu Ling's case has not entered the courtroom
and Beijing police have not announced the case findings,
nor have they made the truth known to the public.

When Zhu Ling's father sent the investigation information
disclosure to related departments in 2008, he was told
that the case had been closed in 1998, contrary to
an earlier claim that the case was under investigation.

[Peng Yongfeng, Former Lawyer in China]:
“Sun Wei's family background is quite publicly attractive,
especially in context of the mainland's centralized system.

At this time, the American people are also
paying special attention to Zhu Ling's case.
They feel it will be a very big security risk
for such a big suspect to be residing in the U.S..”

Li Shusen, who has worked in the 14th department of
the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and who was
in charge of the Zhu Ling case says, “In 2006, the case
received a certain conclusion and was very sensitive.”

It is understood that Sun Wei's grandfather Sun Yueqi
and church uncle Sun Fuling had held senior positions
in the democratic party and the Chinese People's Political
Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in China.
Sun Yueqi had also had a close relationship with
the former CCP General Secretary Jiang Zemin.
Sources also allege that the non-party expert Sun Yueqi
was the right hand man of Bo Yibo, one of the CCP elders.

[Dr. Wang Juntao, Political Scientist]:
“It is not difficult to deal with the case—Beijing's Municipal
Public Security Bureau initiated an investigation,
but later terminated it.
It should be solved; however, Jiang Zemin becomes
the target, due to his relationship with Sun Yueqi.
I think Jiang Zemin is not the only relational source,
because Sun Yueqi had many links within the CCP leadership.
If there is a background for the case,
it would be the power struggle of the CCP leadership.”

Recently, the article 'The real secret of the Zhu Ling case'
has become popular on the Internet.
The article claims that the case had been solved
and that the guilty party had also signed papers.

Yangcheng Evening News disclosed that Zhu Ling's case
was stopped by force for the first time on April 29,
as the upper echelons of the CCP became involved.

Xinhua News Agency, the official news agency of mainland
China also published an article, listing seven questions.

Many are asking, what is the truth behind the Zhu Ling case?

On May 3rd, the Chinese microblogging website Sina Weibo
was blocked from searches containing the words “Zhu Ling”,
“Wei Sun”, “thallium poisoning”, “thallium” etc.
and the censoring continued until May 6th.
It is understood that the upper echelons of the CCP
were connected to the censoring.
