Kunming Bloodshed Related to Wada Religious Repression
Few days after Kunming Railway Station massacre, what
really took place is still unclear.
The overseas media and Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
mouthpiece media provided several different versions.
On March 5, US Radio Free Asia reported that Kunming local
Uyghurs suspected the massacre is due to police shooting to
suppress the religious demonstration last June in Wada.
The report said these attackers failed to seek refuge in Laos
and retaliated in desperation because they were also wanted
by the police.
The report quoted from a Uyghur saying the reason that these
attackers fleeing to Yunnan was because of the repression of a
group of Uyghurs protesting at the arrests of religious leaders
and the closed mosque last June in Hotan HanAiLieKe county.
There were 15 deaths and 50 injured.
After that, the police summoned more than 100 Uyghurs to
investigate to chase 7 Uyghur who fled to Laos.
Police Arrested 30 Uyghurs
After the Kunming murder, the interrogation was intensive and
people kept quiet.
After the Kunming murder, the mainland police intensively
interrogated and drove out Uyghurs.
Recently they expanded the interrogation to Xinjiang citizens
and Tibetan monks.
A notice issued by the Xinghai police station in Xining is
circulating on the Internet.
People questioned why the police extended the interrogation to
Tibetans, which will stir up more hatred between nations
45 mainland netizens were also arrested on the charge of
spreading rumors to disrupt social order and cause panic.
Some Kunming citizens and other city netizens were told
by officials not to accept media interviews.
>Mainland Chinese Want to Cremate
The Remains of Mao Zedong.
On March 6, Mainland historian Zhang Lifan and human
rights lawyer Pu Zhiqiang issued a proposal on the internet
to cremate the remains of Mao Zedong and re-inter the ashes.
They hoped the representative of the Two Sessions can help
submit the proposal.

Xin, also expressed support on Microblog after the proposal
was published.
