Driven to revolt! Violence once again in Xinjiang

The recurrence of large-scale violence in Kashi of Xinjiang
was finally confirmed by Chinese official Media after
almost two days blockage.

The media claimed that it was an organized and
premeditated terror attack.
A spokesman of the World Uyghur Congress (WUC) sighed that
the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) drive the Uyghurs to revolt.

Since July 28, the news of large-scale violence happening in
Kashi City of Xinjiang frequently appeared on major mainland
social websites, but mostly have been deleted by
the Chinese authorities.

Although on 29th July at 22 o’clock, the CCP mouthpiece
Xinhua News Agency confirmed the people’s attack on the
western lake county government and police station,
characterizing it as a violent terror attack.
The report did not state the intention nor the specific
number of deaths and casualties.

WUC spokesman Alim: This is not a premeditated terror attack
as stated by the Chinese authorities.
This is a forced rebellion by officials.

The Uyghur of this village faced all kinds of CCP high
pressure policy during Ramadan.
This is an act against the CCP tyranny from the villagers.

According to the spokesman oF WUC Alim, the past month
was the Uyghur traditional Ramadan period.
In this month, the Uyghur will not eat during the daytime.

But the Chinese authorities cracked down on the fasting
Uighurs using high pressure tactics.

Alim: Armed police and military police broke into their
home to arrest them arbitrarily when they began to
cook at night.

The CCP police pulled the Uyghur to the police station to
interrogate and cruelly beat them, when they went
to the mosque to pray.

So they came out against the CCP on the morning of July 28.
The CCP police stormed the Uighurs on the street, resulting in
more than 20 deaths and 100 arrests.

Currently, the county’s network has been cut off.

The Elixku village has been blocked and searched door by door
by the authorities.

The reporter called Elixku police station, the answering
police officer said he knew nothing and hung up.
The reporter tried to contact Elixku government, but failed.

Kashi city resident: Our network has been cutoff since
yesterday without any information.
We can only make phone calls without sending text messages.

Only our county’s network has been cut off;
the adjoining county still has a functioning network.
There is a roadblock, police and armed police at every
intersection with at least 4 unarmed police officers and
4 armed police officers.

In recent years, there has been frequent violence
in the Xinjiang region.
For example, the conflict between the police and people has
resulted in dozens of deaths and casualties
in last April in Bachu County.

Last June, the riot in Shanshan County resulted in 35 deaths.
October 28, there was the Tiananmen car crash incident.
April 30 of this year, there was a bombing in Urumqi railway
station, resulting in 3 deaths and 79 injured.
On May 22, another explosion occurred in
the Urumqi morning market etc.

Alim: The CCP have not learnt any lessons from the 7.5 event.
Now, they have struck more severely.
The Uighurs can’t go to other cities even their hometown,
but need a so-called convenience card.
If the Uighurs were the CCP and treated their Han people in
this way, how can the Han people tolerate them?
The Uighurs are not slaves of the CCP.

It has been 65 years that the Uighurs have not been slaves of
the CCP and that’s why they rebel.
It is the CCP who drive them to rebel.

On July 28, the U.S. State Department released the 2013
International Religious Freedom Report and included China and
other countries as countries of particular concern.

The reason being these countries seriously
lack religious freedom.
