Zhou Yongkang’s Case Rumor Confirmed

The long standing overseas rumor of the former Chinese
Communist Party (CCP) Politburo Standing Committee Zhou
Yongkang’s case was indirectly confirmed for the first time
by Chinese officials on March 2.

At a news conference during the Two Sessions of the twelve
CCP National Committee, the spokesman Lu Xinhua replied
to the question of Zhou Yongkang’s case: “I have information
through some media just the same as you.
No matter who it is or at how high a position, he will be
punished if he breached any law or party discipline.
I can only answer in this way, you know.”

Many media reports analyzed, although Lu Xinhua’s response
was ambiguous, he did not categorically deny it on the spot.
It equals to acquiescing about the rumor of Zhou Yongkang,
also hinting that Zhou Yongkang's case is not only ongoing
but near the end of the investigation.

The Public Wants an Explanation of The Kunming Attack

On March 1, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) released
details of 29 deaths and 143 injured in the Kunming mass
stabbing.

The CCP has labeled the incident as a “violent terrorist
activity” and will strongly counter it.
However, experts said that this could only accelerate
the cycle of repression and retaliation with violence.

The Kunming incident quickly become a network focus.

Netizens expressed anger and mourning and pursued the truth
behind the scenes.
They believe there might be a reason for violence although
the murderer should be condemned for killing innocent people.
Someone called for the killers to explain the
reason for the violence clearly.

Continental reporter Liu Xiangnan V also blogged: ”What on
earth happened in Xinjiang since a lot of recent incidents
involve Xinjiang?

What is the original reason for such incidents? The authorities
should make it clear to all people concerned.”

Now the CCP has cancelled the scheduled official press
conference; many news and images on microblog were deleted.
