Upgrade Action Has to Admit Defeat
On Nov. 30, Hong Kong students launched an activity to
surround the government headquarters.
It is to upgrade the occupation after the police
clearing actions.
Several demonstrators were beaten badly and 52 arrested.
On Dec. 1, Hong Kong Federation of Students (HKFS)
Secretary-General Zhou Yongkang apologized to the injured
occupants by bowing and admitted the upgrade failed.
According to several media reports in Hong Kong, Zhou
Yongkang is willing to apologize because the campaign had shortcomings and did not reach the target of paralyzing the
government headquarters.
Zhou said the containment was to push the authorities to
respond to the political reform demand.
Although most protesters obeyed the non-violence principle,
they still received maltreatment from the police.
Scholarism convener Huang Zhifeng also said that students
also have shortcomings;
However the police getting out of control is beyond
everyone's expectation.
Huang Zhifeng And Two Members go on Indefinite Hunger
Strike

They just want to have a dialogue with the government and
return to the negotiating table.
There will be medical volunteers monitoring them during
the hunger strike and they will only drink water.
Two more female students on hunger strike are Lu Yanhui
from Hong Kong Baptist University first grade and sixth
grade student Huang Ziyue.
They apologized to their familes because they were rarely
with their parents recently.
